Dinner at Everest

According to its website, Everest Cafe & Bar "is the only Nepalese, Korean, & Indian restaurant serving in the city of St. Louis." According to everyone I've talked to who has eaten there, Everest Cafe and Bar is just plain awesome.

Try the Special Everest Appetizer plate with vegetable fritters, vegetable samosa and mo-mo served with homemade sauce. Yes, I used the imperative mood.

Chicago: Snow Sculpting Competition

There's something fun about stumbling across a block of people cutting away at blocks of snow for all they're worth.

Dining in Chicago

My vacation dining choices are based on a rugged tripod of criteria:
- locals eat there
- I can afford it
- it doesn't offend JulieDill's nose
(My nose is not always trustworthy, but JD can smell bad food a block away.)

I can recommend Harold's Chicken Shack on Wabash behind the Hilton. You know, if you eat chicken. Or even fries with hot sauce...

Kite Flying on Art Hill

Hello. I've been quiet for a while, but I'm still here. I haven't posted much because I haven't been doing much. The answer to "where do you want to go?" has pretty much been to bed, or to play video games, or to my friends' house for dinner, or my friends house to watch them play video games. Between winter blahs and a cold I couldn't shake, the photo ops haven't been very interesting.

Things are picking up now. Julie & I just got back from Chicago, where we watched a writer's conference from the wings. More on that tomorrow. Today let's take a peek at some kite flying pics from the beginning of the month.

Julie took this. Apparently I make faces when I'm struggling to keep a kite in the air.
