Stoppig for Dinner & Drinks in Columbus

JD & I started our drive to western Pennsylvania last Monday. Between construction and rain, the trip went more slowly than usual, so we decided to stop for the night in Columbus. For dinner, Julie picked out the Surly Girl Saloon in Short North.

I recommend the Frito Pie.

Allison Funk at the Regional Arts Commission

Julie & I raced over to the RAC after work Friday and made it just as Allison started to read. This book sounds great.

B&E at the Way Out Club

My only disappointment for the night was that I forgot to bring my little pocket camera, so I couldn't take fun interior pics of the Way Out. If you've ever been there you'll know why I love it so. And now I finally have a pocket camera that works in near dark. I can't take pics like these from the Bleeding Deacon with my SLR; people get all attentive. Don't even ask about the flash - that's not really my style... Anyway, I'll get some next time.

I'd packed the big camera to get some pics of B&E. They didn't seem to mind.

Thursday Night at the Atomic Cowboy

Did you know they have swing dancing every Thursday? I didn't. I mean, I still would have agreed to meet for drinks - I just didn't know.

Staying Productive

Julie convinced me to stay productive yesterday, even though I was home from work with a head cold...

I threw out the snappy old NuFam Photo website. I hadn't updated the gallery in ages, and it annoyed me. I have replaced it with a vanity gallery, full of quickie slideshows in a variety of subjects.
