Photo walk with Scott
From a few weeks ago, when snow was only a dream. Scott & I went for a walk in New Mount Sinai Cemetery, on Gravois in the county. I was playing with infrared most of the time. I mean, come on, if you're going to do something as cliched as take pictures in a cemetery, you owe it to yourself to make it as spooky as possible.
I did take one color non-infrared shot I liked, though.

Piccadilly at Manhattan
Okay, so this place was around for ages, shut down briefly, and has been open again now for a year or two. I don't know how I missed it. It's smoke-free and full of comfort food.
If you like wings, try a batch "our way." Julie & I split an order while we were waiting for our sandwiches, grilled cheese for Julie and pulled pork for me.
We sat at the Willie Nelson table in the back.

Wacky Washrooms: Mussissippi Mud House Edition
I don't remember documenting Mississippi Mud's washroom, but it deserves it's fair share of attention.

Sunday afternoon on Cherokee
Live from Mississippi Mud, it's me, relaxing. My cafe au lait is lovely, and I'm lounging comfortably while JD and I wait for our sandwiches.
We had a little burst of bookstore action yesterday, and Julie is deep in her book (when she's not tweeting on my phone). I think I'll sink into a book, too.
I walked the block with my camera before I came in from the cold. There's always something to look at on Cherokee.

Typical work day?
I've been a little anti-technology lately, which has lead to slow postings and not so dynamic photos. As soon as I chase down Julie and her little pink camera I'll be able to share the photos I took last night at Piccadilly at Manhattan, which is a swell place for smoke-free dining. Until then, I hope you enjoy this glimpse of what life is like around my office.

Sunday @ the Cat Show
Yes, Julie really did talk me into going to the Lucky Tomcat Show out in Chesterfield last weekend. I don't regret it. I talked to some wonderfully friendly and enthusiastic people, I took some fun pictures, and our own non-diva cats got some new toys.
Now we should be going back once again to our regular diet of local arts events, family fun and travel. I don't know what's in store for this weekend. Maybe 3rd Degree Glass' 3rd Friday? Maybe the ArtDimentions opening? Maybe a giant load of freelance work (and no blog posts)? Stay tuned...

Friday Night @ the Holga Polka
This was insane. The Regional Arts Commission gallery was wide open and full to bursting. I'll have to go back again to actually get to see any of the art.
To celebrate the little plastic camera highlighted by the exhibit, I took all my pictures with my cell phone - what I've been calling my Helga, the electronic Holga.

Saturday at America's Incredible Pizza Company
More little boy birthday goodness.
Jordan's still too little to race gocarts.
But he managed to ride the motorcycle.
He even played in some non-electronic stuff.
Tonight things go back to normal - we hit the STL Arts Scene. Holga Polka opens at the RAC. Extended hours at SLAM before Action/Abstraction closes. Pizza & wings at the Pizza Haus on Delmar. Expects pics of it all, complete with special guests Thom of Staunton and Amy D, in the coming days.
Special bonus: Check back to see if Julie & I really do decide to go to the cat show in Chesterfield on Sunday.

Settling back into a routine
Okay, more like settling back into the comfy chair in front of the fireplace at Cafe Ventana. So cozy, even if it is a gas flame.
