Watching Visioneers at the SciFi Lounge

Have you heard of Visioneers? Zach Galifianakis plays a rudderless man living in a world where people just explode.

JulieDill & I met our friend Byron in U City for a viewing at the SciFi Lounge.

Out on the town with Jordan

Did I mention we took Jordan to his first baseball game?

We rode Metrolink to the stadium.
DSC01638

I don't think he followed most of the game, but I know he understood the "peanuts and Cracker Jack" part.

Little J lasted all the way til the 7th inning stretch, then we decided it was time to start home.

Jonathan Coulton @ Off Broadway

Second time this week I've gone out and not been the nerdiest person in the audience...

An Undercover Weekend @ Firebird

A Firebird brainstorm: Local bands playing as bands STL could never lure to a small venue on a Saturday night. Good fun. I hope the bands enjoyed it as much as we did.

Uncle Bill's on S. Kingshighway

So, I guess Uncle Bill's used to serve cocktails? I was standing around out front last weekend waiting for JD & family, and I noticed the friendly glass on the top of the sign.

DSC01528

For as long as I've been in STL Uncle Bill's has just been the place to go after drinks when you need a little breakfast before you go to bed.

DSC01530

I was there Saturday to hang out with the family and get a 4-D for lunch. It's advertised on the banner out front.

Cholesterol? What cholesterol?

Candlelight Walk in the Japanese Garden @ MOBOT

Today's the second day of the Missouri Botanical Garden's annual Japanese Festival. Last night I took a stroll with a couple of friends and a couple of cameras.

I tried to stay with the spirit of the festival. These digital photos are from my Sony Cybershot, and I tweaked them in the computer to look more like they were shot on old Fuji slide film.

My film camera was a Yashica-A twin lens reflex. I'll let you know later if anything actually showed up on that.

JD and I had a great time on our tour of the Central Library last weekend. It's a phenomenal place.

Citygarden - go ahead, touch it

Kids love to climb. Citygarden doesn't care.

Okay, for that one, I was the only one climbing. I was inside this head.
