Exterior: The Minister's Treehouse

I like to check out Roadside America whenever I'm thinking about traveling. It really paid off this time.

Ste. Gen after the rain

Julie & I drove down to Ste. Genvieve Saturday afternoon for some research. I learned stuff. So did JD. I learned Ste. Gen was the home of the first school west of the Mississippi. (I think you can see the Mississippi from the top of the hill - it's not far west.) Julie learned that her junior high isn't nearly as big as she remembered it (similar to all those fences downtown).

Remember kids, when you decided to write in wet concrete, get on with it before it get gets too hard or else you look incompetent, if spirited.

Wednesday Night at The Lube

Yes, I convinced Julie to eat at Quaker Steak & Lube on our way to Murrysville from the airport.

More empty STL airport from Wednesday

Posted by Picasa

Flying to Thanksgiving in the Greater Pittsburgh Area

The airport was empty. The day before Thanksgiving, the airport was empty. I have to admit, if the parents hadn't been so persuasive, we wouldn't have spent the money on plane tickets, either, but geeze o pete, this is usually the busiest travel week of the year, right?

Anyway, we had a lovely flight on a small regional jet.
