My Life With The Real Still Kult

You might think that with a little down time I'd get all relaxed, maybe make some art or something. Nope. So far I've been reading library books, watching videos and trying to remember to speak loud enough for my mom to hear me.

I went to Bouffant Daddy and got tidied up...

I held Rudy so JulieDill could take his picture. I don't remember why...

Maybe it's time for some baking.

Grease, Gears & Grooves at the Deluxe: cars & trucks

After rain ended our surprisingly lucrative yard sale early, Julie and I motored over to Maplewood for lunch at the Deluxe. We had no idea we would run into Full Throttle Midwest and their gearheads.

Date night, Saturday night at Michael's

After the Royale, we stopped at Michael's for calamari & wings.

Pale ale goes well with wings.

No, I'm not good at taking pictures of fried food. Not much practice. That's probably okay.

Amy D's reading at The Focal Point

The St. Louis Poetry Center hosts a series of readings at The Focal Point in Maplewood. My friend Amy let loose a bunch of her well ordered words for them Back on July 22.

This is Amy, on the left.

The SLPC is a very respectable group. Respectable. Amy, Julie & I lowered the mean age in that room considerably (and I'm almost 40).

I enjoy going to The Focal Point. The have these old wooden, yet strangely comfortable, theater chairs.

OBSERVABLE READINGS

I can't really talk about the poerty, but I always like going to The Bottleworks.

Julie's pumpkin ale. I picked it up accidentally, once. It was delicious.

I don't know why I always come back from readings with pictures of feet & hands. I guess it's the way I fidget. Here's my foot.

Thursday Night at the Black Cat Theatre

black cat 3

We were spontaneous last night. After running to the post office and the pharmacy, feeding our cats, wolfing down dinner, and feeding our friends' cats, we decided to go to the preview night of Hamlet at the Black Cat Theatre. I'm glad we did.
