Saturday Night @ The Haunted Bar

Met the skelleton of a famous aviatrix. Bellied up to the bar with a Psycho Hose Beast. Met someone who looked remarkably like Pammy the Cat, only taller.

Ate jambalaya and Imo's pizza and cheesy poofs.

Wandered home in the wee hours.

NONE SHALL PASS

St. Louis (Missouri) - Rumors of a kittenish interloper arriving after Thanksgiving have been dismissed out of paw by Pammy Yaeber, Feline in Cheif of this residence, according to a Friday evening press release.

Reliable sources, however, tell us of ongoing negotiations between the humans at this address. The grumpy, sparkle-haired human, famous for her "nothing living in this house but me" stance of six years ago, has reportedly agreed, in theory, to the possible arrival of a second cat.

Mrs. Yaeber was not available for further comment. Posted by Picasa

Pumpkin Glow

Luckily the knife work was done before the ball game got too exciting.

Do you remember the Jack Skellington masterpiece from last year? Well, Chris didn't do anything like that this year. She did something even harder - she let the three year old help. Posted by Picasa

Don't go downtown. I think they're playing a ball game tonight.

I'm happy to report no humans were injured at this year's pumpkin carving extraveganza. Even the three year old stayed safe, and wasn't too intimidated by the 5 foot tall T Rex in the kitchen. At least not after formal introductions.

Stay tuned for pics of last night's glowing Jacks, tomorrow's soap box derby, and whatever other rain soaked thing I can come up with.

Something tells me I'm not going to be up for the Viola da Gamba quartet at the art museum tonight, or the Rembrant etchings. I want to take a nap.

I'm starting to miss summer. I never miss summer.

You don't get IR light for this stuff in the winter...

Picnic on the Chain of Rocks Bridge

Saturday we walked across the Mississippi River. Yes, it was a little chilly over the water, but we were dressed for it, more or less.

Really, who's going to notice the weather? We had warm roasted garlic bread, soft brie, and fresh apples.

So far my artist's statement reads:
"What the hell? Look at the photos.
You like them? Fine.
You don't? I'll get over it."

I may tweak it.
